By accessing or using KinRoad at kinroad.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What KinRoad is

KinRoad is an educational platform that helps individuals and families assess their preparedness for the death or incapacitation of a primary adult. We provide:

• A scored readiness assessment across eight areas of family preparedness
• A personalized action plan based on your assessment results
• Optional expert consultation calls to review your results and build a 90-day action plan

3. What KinRoad is not

KinRoad is not a law firm, financial advisory firm, insurance broker, or tax advisory service. We do not provide legal advice, financial advice, tax advice, or insurance advice. Nothing on this platform creates an attorney-client, advisor-client, or any other professional relationship.

4. Expert consultation calls

Paid consultation calls are conducted by KinRoad advisors who are knowledgeable about family readiness and estate planning concepts. These calls are educational in nature. Any specific legal, financial, tax, or insurance decisions should be made in consultation with licensed professionals in those fields.

5. No professional advice - important disclaimer

ALL CONTENT PROVIDED BY KINROAD, INCLUDING ASSESSMENT RESULTS, ACTION PLANS, AND CONSULTATION CALLS, IS FOR EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. THIS CONTENT DOES NOT CONSTITUTE AND SHOULD NOT BE RELIED UPON AS LEGAL, FINANCIAL, TAX, INVESTMENT, OR INSURANCE ADVICE.

Always consult a qualified attorney for legal matters, a licensed financial advisor for financial decisions, a CPA or tax professional for tax matters, and a licensed insurance professional for insurance decisions.

6. Paid services and refunds

Paid plans are processed through Stripe. We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid consultation packages. To request a refund, email hello@kinroad.app within 30 days of your purchase.

7. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

• Provide accurate information when completing the assessment
• Use the service only for lawful purposes
• Not share your assessment results or report in ways that could mislead others
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or reproduce the assessment or platform

8. Intellectual property

The KinRoad assessment, scoring methodology, report format, and all content on this platform are the property of KinRoad. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, KinRoad shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of KinRoad shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify active customers of material changes by email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
